Jane Eyre

I do not usually intend to post more than once a day. I think too much of something takes the sparkle out of life. And I like sparkly things. However, I need to give you an example of how sometimes I am a silly girl - except really this isn't silly whatsoever. Jane Eyre is BEYOND THE REALMS OF THE SILLY. Jane Eyre does not count as stupid pop culture. Jane Eyre belongs in a class of her own, do you hear me???

This is a discussion I just had with my friend Maeghan. Even though it is very disjointed and hard to follow because it took place on facebook, try to sort it out. Everyone has their weaknesses. Jane Eyre is one of my weaknesses. Someday, I will write that post praising its guts out. And you, too, will fall in love with it. 

Maeghan: OMFG I DIDNT KNOW YOU READ JANE EYRE!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Me: I LOVE JANE EYRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SO MUCH!!! I WILL NEVER BASH IT ON THAT BLOG!!!

Maeghan: THATS MY FAVORITE BOOK!

Me: NO MATTER HOW UNREALISTIC THE BLINDNESS SCENE IS! IN FACT

Maeghan: NONONON ITS REAL.

Me: I MAY WRITE A POST PRAISING IT SOMEDAY, AND HOW BEAUTIFUL IT IS, AND HOW NO ONE SHOULD EVRE BE ALLOWED TO CRITICIZE IT, EVER!!

Maeghan: IT COULD HAPPEN! EVEN THOUGH JANE WAS UGLY, AND ROCHESTER WAS OLD & ALREADY MARRIED - IT SOOOO COULD HAPPEN! WHO DOESNT HAVE A CRAZY WIFE LOCKED IN AN ATTIC?

Me: THIS IS TRUE. THIS IS VERY TRUE.

Maeghan: WHO DOESNT LIKE TO SET FIRES TO MANSIONS?

Me: I KNOW SERIOUSLY. I AM WILLING TO PUT ALL MY CONVICTIONS ASIDE WHEN I READ THIS BOOK. IT GIVES ME HOPE. LOTS AND LOTS OF HOPE.

Maeghan: WHO DOESNT LIKE TO TRY TO SAVE CRAZY PEOPLE & LOOSING MOST OF THEIR EYE SIGHT? I MEAN, OF COURSEEEEEE ONE WOULD BE ABLE TO SEE AGAIN JUST IN TIME TO SEE THEIR CHILD BE BORN? THATS HOW LIFE IS! god, i love that book. it makes me cry a river every time i read it. i love it.
